Sun College of Engineering and Technology has been Established by R.V Educational Trust to cater the needs of rural youth by providing them Vocational and Technical Education. The objective of founders of this Institutions is to impart Technical Education, training and skills necessary to make qualified Engineers. The college which is the best Diploma college in Kanyakumari District was founded in 2005 by Er C.Thayaparan ,surrounded by sea at Vellamodi, Ammandivilai Post, 13 km away from Nagercoil, the capital of Kanyakumari District and 62 km from Trivandrum which is easily accessible by Airways and Railways. The College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and affiliated to Directorate Of Technical Education (DOTE) Chennai.
